Start with the table above: each row is a diameter, each column is a wood, and each price is for one fully round ball with its weight underneath. The size chart lists every diameter in centimetres, inches and millimetres with its weight, and the size and price tool will price a size that is not here. Pine is the lightest and the most affordable, and it takes paint evenly. Oak is hard and strongly grained and suits oil or stain. African walnut is dark and needs only oil. If you are not sure, start with the smaller size: the range steps one centimetre at a time, so the next one is never far away. A ball can be a foot, a finial, a centrepiece or a prop. Choose the shape that fits the job, and ask for a bespoke quote if you need a hole bored a particular way. Dispatch for every ball from 10 to 34 cm: Made to order, dispatched in 2 to 4 weeks.
