How big do the wooden balls get?

Big. The standard range runs to a giant 34cm (13.4in) solid-hardwood sphere, and we can turn large bespoke balls up to 45cm (17.7in). The oversized ones (20cm and up) are proper statement pieces — display, sculpture, interiors, architectural wooden balls, newel post finials, and film & TV props.

How long until my ball arrives?

Every ball is made to order. We pick, pack and dispatch within 3 working days, then tracked delivery: 2–3 working days in the UK, international transit times shown at checkout. You'll get a tracking number when it ships.

How much is delivery?

Delivery is calculated at checkout by destination. Every order ships tracked and insured. International rates show at checkout; customs or import duties may apply outside the UK.

Can I return it?

Standard, unaltered sizes can be returned within 14 days of delivery (return postage is yours). Balls made to a custom size, wood or finish are made to your spec and exempt from cancellation. Anything faulty or not as described is always put right. Full returns policy ↗

What's the finish — and is it solid wood?

Solid hardwood throughout, no veneer — and no drilled hole unless you ask for one. Supplied unpainted with a natural finish, ready to paint, oil or stain to taste. Each ball is turned by hand, so grain and figure vary from piece to piece.

Can you make a size or wood that isn't listed?

Where are they made?

Every piece is turned by hand on the lathe, to order, in our own workshop — solid hardwood, never bought in.
